I actually went to the shop to place the order and I specifically asked for a red ribbon (or banner) with the words "SEMPER FI' in gold since that is the Marine Corps colors. I said that at least three times and even said if she didn't have red I would go out and buy it for her. She assured me she had red. When I showed up at the funeral home I was so shocked to see "SEMPER FI" on a blue banner. The Marine Corps League was there in their scarlet red jackets standing next to that blue banner. I was so embarrassed and apologetic. A couple of the Marines told me that she probably didn't know their colors are red and gold. I called Belinda's the very next morning and she NEVER apologized. She said she thought a blue banner would look better with the flowers. WOW! - not her choice when I was so specific and adamant that it had to be RED! Wasn't impressed with the arrangement either. Flowers and the service we received definitely not worth $125!
Bonita at Belinda's Flowers made the spray for my mother's casket several months ago and they were very nice flowers. The funeral director chose them. I needed to send flowers to my mother's fiancee who passed and I thought I would use Belinda's Flowers since did such a nice job with my mom's flowers.
