The best state travel center. They have lots of brochures and a very nice gift shop, picnic area, and dog walk. It is across the street from Walmart and shops.
Wonderful welcome center, they really do make you feel welcomed to be in WV! Very clean, lively place. Huge selection on tourist attractions and history of WV. Clean restrooms and friendly staff. Awesome gift shop as well! I tend to never spend time in souvenir shops but this one had such a great selection of gifts from jewelry to cooking ingredients and local honey that I had to pick up a few items :)
The West Virginia tourist center was exceptionally clean and well-organized... They had tons of brochures and other literature to include maps of West Virginia which were very helpful. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly... On top of the they are exceptionally knowledgeable of the jobs. We were so pleased for making the decision to stop there and check it out. I would highly recommend that anyone passing through the area stop at this Visitor Center and pick up some very useful information.
Great place for free information, plus a very affordable gift shop of handmade crafts and souvenirs! I highly recommend this place for families, even those on a budget!
This I one of my favorite places to stop when I go home to Ohio. Good place to stretch and let the kids/pets out.
